Is there anything I can do if my employee is frequently off sick during her pregnancy?
Unfortunately not except where the absence is not related to the pregnancy but it’s difficult to prove that any type of sickness or injury is not attributable to the pregnancy. You should still record these episodes of sickness absence but you should not count them if, for example, you use attendance as a measure of performance or in selection criteria.
